it's slow due to the dual axle, london buses can reach that a bit faster but it looks better with dual axle ;)

By the way the climbing speed of this bus is really remarkable. Back during summer 2004 on my visit back to Hong Kong, I had taken Citybus route 962 on Volvo Olympians many times that could only get 25 km/h through this big uphill stretch. (I live in Canada at this moment)

ya, the top speed of this bus is not faster than gardner one a lot
you need to understand MCW+Cummins engine is not for the highway, I think the LEYLAND and VOLVO with ZF gear box must better

about 72-73, it is cummins LT10A with voith 3 speeds, the top speed is not very fast
