FPV Mentor

FPV Multiplex Mentor with headtracking pan and tilt Aiptek HD Video Camera.
The other plane in the video is also a Mentor belonging to LostAlot, ive posted this vid for him, we had tried for a few weeks to get some footage, but the weather has made it difficult, so ive just settled on some footage we got in windy dull overcast conditions.

The prop being in the way also really makes this a terible platform for HD footage.
I tried a .6 wide angle lense adapter, did not make much difference.
Thinking about convertng the plane to pusher prop.

does the Aiptek have a tv output that you can use to stream while also recording the HD footage?

Nice, Wobby - may I ask, how do you rate the Mentor as an FPV plane, and can you see any way to get the prop out of view?

@wobby01 what weren't you happy about, The Mentor itself, was not a great platform? I have one and wanted to do something similiar. What's wrong with it for that?

Hey Wobby, I too have a Aiptek HD recorder that i'm implementing into a modified easystar and wind dragon airplanes but........are you saying you have a pan and tilt system for this camera ? If so how or where did you acheive this ? That would be soooo cool !
