Paul Hyde is known to most as singer for The Payolas, the acclaimed 80s band that also included guitarist Bob Rock. This is the first video from his first all-acoustic album, "The Big Book Of Sad Songs, Vol 1" on Bongo Beat Records. This song was covered by Russell Crowe on HIS solo album. Really enjoyed watching Paul Hyde solo up in Kelowna back in July 2001 as he "OPENED " for the Everly Brothers . Great songwriter and performance that night. Congrats , Paul!!

this works on so many levels. the simple, almost sparse arrangement enhance the mood and message. i like most the hook line. each of us have felt that way at least once. reminds me a bit of harry chapin. continue the craft, chuck. five and favorites.
