Stan is from my hometown of White Sulphur Springs, WV.
I've seen many of his gunslinging antics over the years. He's a great guy.

Channel 6 would sometimes come in where I lived in Cowen, WV. We lived on a hill near Big Ditch Lake between Cowen and Camden-on-Gauley and we had the largest Radio Shack tv antenna they sold.

i think that he left WVVA about 2years ago or retired from them.. i loved watching him. i remember in the 90's he had Bob Denver on there with him giving the weather when Bob Denver moved into the area here in Princeton, WV.
but i really liked stan

Awesome, havent seen stan in years, he was the best weather man in the biz, and i believe that he was the worlds fastest quick draw before bob mundgren, not sure on the facts though,

omg this is great! I wondered the same thing myself. isnt he like a super fast gun draw? I always looked forward to his weather recap...damn this whole thing brings back memories...you rule
