RetailNOW Draws Largest Crowd in Event History

CHARLOTTE, NC | July 1, 2010

Charlotte, NC - The Retail Solutions Providers Association's (RSPA) RetailNOW 2010, held July 25 - 28 in Las Vegas, NV, drew over thirteen hundred attendees, representing eight different countries, from all markets of the retail technology industry. With 125 exhibitors, attendance was up 21% over last year cementing RetailNOW as the show where the industry meets.

Keys to the show's growth include: * Serving as the retail IT industry's leading cross-vertical show, featuring the leading vendors and distributors in the grocery, food service, convenience store, retail, and in-store marketing markets. * 14 education sessions within 3 different tracks, Birds of a Feather networking lunch and Keynote Presentation. * 3 panel discussions including the Industry Leaders Panel featuring top executives from BlueStar, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Ingram Micro, MICROS, NCR, and ScanSource; and the Real Life PCI Panel featuring an end user with representatives from the National Restaurant Association (NRA), National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS) and Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council (PCI-SSC). * Over 20 member-companies took advantage of RSPA's free meeting space to hold their channel meeting in conjunction with RetailNOW 2010. * First W2W Networking Event with over 50 attendees - W2W is a women's group for the retail technology industry with a mission to provide a support network and resource for women as they enter and continue to advance in the retail technology industry. * Upgrade of RSPA's Annual Awards Banquet to include 3 Hall of Fame inductees, expanded Innovation Solution categories and RSPA's Vendor Awards of Excellence categories (see winners below).

Additional show highlights included RetailNEXT exhibitors who featured emerging technologies at their booths. RSPA also held its annual General Session meeting where members voted for new Board of Directors to fill four vacant reseller seats and one vacant vendor seat (see complete list below).
