  • Hope you can get another job. Best of luck.

  • In between lining up job interviews and organising a holiday for my family in Novemeber, I've been taking on private students. Things are starting to look up. Thanks for the support.

  • I had a watch of to your videos and I can understand your commitment to your students, but you needed to remember that its your life and your money that was owed to you, and still is. I praise your candid view about NOVA and wish you all the best in you next step.

  • Thanks Steve, I went on leave about a week before the company went bankrupt, the day it did I went down to the branch put a small advertisement up. My students now have the benefit of continuity with me at a lower price and I get cash in hand. Thanks for the encouragement.

  • so come back when you get paid :P bwhaahaha suckers you should have known better from the first month and should have bailed on Nova and Geos and Berlitz and Gaba who are only interested in making and keeping money.

  • I probably won't be getting paid. I'm sure though the Japanese tax payer won't be happy about footing the bill for a fraudulent and cowardly CEO. Why do you study English? Did you study at any of the schools you mentioned?

  • Stop complaining? You're the one who is going to Japan to work, they're not asking you too so why whine about stuff you made yourself? If you want a teaching job and get pay on time, why not just stay in your own country and work? Unless of course, you don't get good pay...

  • 4. Japan pays to clear Cambodian landmines, but the government takes the money without doing the work and more Cambodian children die and are maimed.

    5. The South Korean government teaches Korean children that Kim Jung-Il is a great man and Japan should sink to the bottom of the ocean.

  • Japan's taxpayers buried resentment:

    1. The nuclear missiles that North Korea directs against Japan were built with components smuggled out of Japan on a ferry and cash stolen from Japanese credit unions.

    2. Japanese politicians waste hundreds of billions of yen on public works projects in China and Korea in return for bribes from those governments.

    3. The Chinese and Korean people aren't even informed that Japan contributed the money to build their airports and subways, for example.

  • A. Japan is no longer the biggest ODA

    B. The JApanese Govt. does a good enough job wasting money ion useless roads and redundant (Repeated) tunnels- look at the new subway from Ikebukuro to Shibuya. Is it needed? Why not just close the loop of the Marunouchi Line?

    1. you are grossly mistaken on the pay scale.

    2. the waste is negligible (minimal in case if your Nova lessons gave you no vocabulary))

  • One thing you must understand is that Japan is world's largest foreign aid donor and is second largest contributor to the UN. However, the government, pension system, etc., in Japan are bankrupt or rather "in the red." So there is a great deal of resentment about wasted tax on foreigners, for example:

    1. A JET program teacher gets paid much more than a Japanese teacher with similar qualifications.

    2. A foreign teacher commits a crime, wasting tax on police, immigration, deportation, etc.

  • If foreign teachers organize, create their own standards, and police themselves, they can make their profession into a respectable profession, like law and medicine in Japan. They also need to petition to support teaching by foreigners as a long-term career in Japan.

I am not saying that 1 in 10 or even 1 in 100 Nova teachers sell drugs to students. But even one bad teacher is too many.

  • because Gaba ECC, GEOS, BERLITZ, ETC have no qualifications necessary either.

  • True!

  • 毎年、JETプログラムでやってくるかなりの数の英語教師の中には、不謹慎にも生徒、つまり中学生と性的な関係を持った者も少な くない。

Every year there are several teachers who come to Japan on the JET program who get deported owing to sexual relations with junior high school students.

  • I was invited to parties of Nova teachers in Japan. They are just mindless losers and bimbos obsessed with drugs, sex, and frequently changing sexual partners. They are spreading STDs in Japan and selling drugs to underage children.

These unprofessional people have no teaching qualification. They can't teach English, and they are definitely not worth the money.
