LOL. I agree with a bunch of the others when I say that the only way that scene would have ruined the episode is because the Sam/Jack fans would have been too busy screaming and running around in circles to actually watch the rest of it.

I get why they cut the scene, but I hardly think it's fair. Sam/Jack shippers have been waiting for a scene like that for TEN WHOLE YEARS!!!! When I heard that they cut the scene, I wanted to write (if that were possible) and say, "Aw, come on! Just throw us a bone!"

@HelenWithJohn Hi Helen. Ja das ist tatsächlich was sie sagt, und in Audiokommentaren von Staffel 4 (auf der DVD vorhanden) wird es 2 mal von den Produzenten, bzw. Amanda Tapping bestätigt daß Jack ihr "boyfriend/fella" also Freund im Beziehungs-Sinne ist. Die Szene hat es zwar nie in die Serie geschafft, trotzdem würde ich es damit allerdings als Canon also offiziell ansehen. Zumal die Aussage nix damit zu tun hatte daß die Szene geschnitten wurde. :)

On one hand I understand they left it out, because while they suggest Sam/Jack, they never seem to confirm the relationship in canon.

And while it's shippers might have been waiting 10 years, Sam/Rodney shippers had been waiting 5, and with her coming to Atlantis had reason to hope for more too.

Though I think we can all agree that the stargate Writers are generally lacking in continued relationship devellopment. (With the exception of McKay)
