Inky Pit Bull Eats Raw Heart

Inky the former stray American Pit Bull Terrier eats a raw 3# beef heart. She's been on a raw meat/bone/prey model diet since I took her in and it's healed up her mange and skin issues, kept her in good weight condition (training treats cause her to gain quickly) and removed the tartar build up from her teeth. Normally she eats about a pound of raw meat daily, but the heart often has a tough outer part so I gave the entire muscle. She enjoys licking off the water and blood first, yum! Nice to see your Inky dog enjoying a big piece of heart meat. Must be a real delicacy for her. Next would be a big bone for desert, then some quiet time to sleep it off. Where do you buy such and how much per pound?

I had a dog named Inky. He was a 90 pound Black German Shepherd and Akita mix dog that was a rescue puppy I was fostering. I was supposed to show him at adoptions, but I ended up keeping him. Had him for 10 years when he suddenly stopped eating. His abdomen swelled up to the size of a volleyball. I took him to the Vet who told me he had a tumor that had ruptured in his abdomen and it was fatal. I took him home, a day later he was too weak to walk, he was euthanized. Sad ending to his life :-(

look at that coat. this is so much healthier. the processed dog food is so unhealthy and god knows whats in it. no nutritional value in that garbage. raw meat is def the way to go
