Clair De Lune by Debussy has never before been played so beautifully, and it never will again ! Victor Borge was truely a remarkable and unique talent, the likes of which the world will probably never get to experience again !

His incredible talent as a pianist showed well here, and he was able to draw in those who would otherwise have avoided concerts with his ability to ALSO be humorous for others pieces. I was pleased he chose to be only respectful of this piece.

Amazing. Best I've ever heard.

@cleancab you can like more than one version of the same thing, you know.

Thank you for posting this, I have never heard him play straight before, it was a total but very wonderfull shock.

Victor had promised way back in the day to the Debussy Family that he would respect this piece and i've only once heard him add his special "touch" to it... He i think revamped classical for us showing that there was more than just notes in the music written back in that era. Victor will always be an inspiration to me...

@siire23 So did I, but I was so glad to hear him play something "all the way through" as he was a fantastic concert pianist. I miss him. He was truly so gifted.

I can't decide if I like this version or Van Cliburn's. They're both great.
Beautiful, but I kept expecting him to fall off his chair or break into chopsticks!
