I don't see what you read in the previous comment that made you assume that he hated it. Calling something "vapid" is not equal to expressing hatred for it. There's nothing wrong with liking the commercial while still finding some fault in it.

It's vapid, but pretty. The gaps in action are easily forgiven with the artistic aesthetic, and creative transitions. I really liked the squirrel! Nice Work.

Great solve, and a unique approach. This graphic style could very easily be used in a widespread campaign, motion, print, outdoor...it's smart.
