About BNI Bamboo
Our Aim
To generate long term strategic relationships in order to promote cross referrals to quality small and medium sized businesses.
Our Philosophy
The philosophy of BNI Bamboo is based on the Chinese Guanxi principle which literally means "pass the gate and get connected"
The concept of Guanxi refers to interpersonal relationships or connections in almost every realm of life in the Chinese culture, from kinship to friendship and from politics to business. Bamboo west symbolises the Guanxi principle
It will spread mainly through its roots and/or rhizomes, which can spread widely underground and send up new culms to break through the surface.Once established as a grove, it is difficult to completely remove bamboo without digging up the entire network of underground rhizomes.
So it follows that our BNI chapter will be created and will grow through the root system that;
Initially spreads widely without visibility as it will be under the surface (member base)
once established the results will be evident through the breakthrough of shoots (referral generation)
will be enduring, resilient and fast growing.
Attributes and skills of members
The chapter will be populated by members who provide premium client or customer services who want to be able to have access to other quality service providers so that a complete quality service can be provided to customers through a wider network. In order to achieve this each member would have the following skills and attributes:
Displays energy and commitment
Team focus
Established strong reputation in the market
Provides quality high end services or products
Is empowered to act (is an owner of business or has full support of owners)
Is professional in approach
