Hokuto no Ken 7 Game Sample - SFC (Japanese)

One of many games from the popular Hokuto no Ken (Fist of the North Star) franchise. I no longer have this game, but made a video a few days ago before I gave it up so that it would be "authentic", since I don't see myself re-acquiring this game anytime soon. The game is... well, it's... but you see... you know and... umm... oh dear. Aww, what the hell. This game is so damn horrible. Awful controls, ultra cheap fighters, and ultra crappy fighters. It's kinda insulting to think this game is based on THE HnK. Just watch the really big guy from the anime and such in this video... he only has ONE ATTACK! Attacks can go through people, flat-out not hit them, and the special attack exchange system through aura power is one of the worst ideas I've ever seen in a fighting game, and that's saying something.

Unlike the somewhat better HnK6, The gauge charges so freaking slow and you can't charge it yourself (only drop the gauge if you want to execute a particular move or block certain attacks), which is just stupid. When you execute these "magnificent" moves, they take about a inch of damage and the computer just heals it back after about three seconds. The worst part is that there are characters who can do some special attacks like fireballs with or without aura energy... this game is just so inexplicably awful. This game doesn't even really have a story like the game before it. I have to wonder why it was made, as I think (and I'm just guessing here) that even most diehard HnK fans wouldn't be able to stomach this game for long. Maybe others will appreciate this game more than I did, but goodness gracious...

A Hokuto No Ken game that was outsourced to Office Koukan under subcontract with Shouei System. At least the music sounds good...

@alvieao2 I love their sound driver in their games, and I think the HUD/lifebars in this game as well as in Hokuto no Ken 6 are the best.

I think it would be awesome if someoen were to slavage both 6 and 7 by using their sprites for mugen and fixing the gameplay.... one thing that puzzles me is how JoJo's Venture got a capcom made game but HnK did not.... (though I feel that SNK would have done a better job with HnK if they had the liscense during their prime)
