you would get alot more cool air if you made a shelf system to pack more packs in there. or at least devise a way to hang them from the lid so you have more air hitting the surface of the pack instead of having 1 side constantly on the bottom, blocking all air from going across the surface

Well I actually did solder everything with my soldering iron/solder but I did put hot glue over everything so the wires would not get exposed to moisture from the ice in the box.

You should be able to find it at your local Radioshack.
Here is what I found on the package.
Radioshack blue led switch (Model:275-023)
It was like $2 or so.
