David Boudia performs 207b (back 3.5 somersaults pike), reveicing FIVE tens and the maximum dive score of 108 (!!!) points at the Olympic Diving Trials Finals in Indianapolis, IN.
They throw out the high two and low two scores, leaving three scores. 10+10+10 * 3.6 = 108. They used to score the way you calculated, but they changed the scoring rules a few years ago.
Ok, why did this guy get 108 points?
I work out: 10 + 10 + 10 + 10 + 9.5 = 49.5 (disregarding best and worse scores)
49.5 x 0.6 = 29.7
29.7 x 3.6 = 106.92
where am I going wrong?
