These people are not edge bashing hacks. The man with the beard is michael lopes cardozo, and according to various posts on the HEMA alliance forum, he is very knowledgeable in WMA, especially in dutch dagger fighting. Look at some of his tournament fighting, and you'll see he has good control of body mechanics and sword flow.

The goofy "edge bashing" choreo in this video is probably intended for the uninformed general public, not the HEMA community, so let's not rush to judgement eh?

I've seen their other videos. These guys are edge-bashing hacks of little worth.

As for "killing me on their points", I'd just wait till they do their little twirly move and they'd be dead in a heartbeat.

As I said, pitiful hacks whose twirly fairy princess routine doesn't impress me one iota.

And a funny looking beard is not a prerequisite for HEMA, nor does it make one an authority. It just makes them look silly.
