@po7034 I'm Tamil and this fusion appeals to me more than the songs on cassettes my dad bought in Palani. Don't people dance to devotional songs to Lord Krishna? Didn't Bharatnatyam evolve as a performing arts expression of devotional songs? I don't think its possible to dictate what people should do with music. Tamil culture is ever evolving and we have to embrace signs of the times

This song has a lot of meaning for us tamils, fusion is ok, but the attitude is not correct. this song is not meant to be sung with this kind of attitude, cose theres a lot of belief in it!!! in this song we are praying to the murugan of marutha malai, not making people dance!!!

Susheela, i think your singing was awesome. If singing a devotional song this way appeals to the masses... i believe this is what we should be doing. Kudos and keep it up!!!
