I'm a certified miner lol
Its not a excuse. MSHA will shut the mine down and fine the owners if tourists who are not certified are digging by a wall more than 5 feet above their heads. The regulations are in place to keep people safe.

believe me you cannot get to the good stuff in the pit. excuse" Insurance" you will have to sign a waiver before you dig. better get some oxalic acid to clean stones. mostly small stuff. kids don't care though. they will still have fun
