April 24, 2009. The seventh and final Heartland Honor Flight from Nebraska arrives at Dulles Airport, Virginia.
They were greeted by friends family and others who just wanted to say; Thank You!
The World War Two Veterans' know that we do apprciate what they did for our Nation and our way of life. We owe them a debt of gratitude and respect for the sacrifice of Service, and for all the lives lost. All of these Nebraskan's have been blessed with long lives, and to see their memories come alive in their eys; to once again to capture that moment on Iwo Jima, remembering how they drove a Tank into Bastione, to relieve the batered 101st Airbourne Division or how they ever lived through Omaha Beach...
We will never forget these Men and Women that have gave us such a wonderful gift...FREEDOM!
