  • When I was 17 I bought American Garage and listened to The Epic about 100 times in three days. The next day I was driving somewhere and heard PMG was at Ravinia in Chicago that night. I turned the car around, headed to the theatre and bought a lawn seat. I was able to get a spot close to the stage. To say I was blown away is an understatement. I will never forget that night for the rest of my life. The Epic remains one of my fav music pieces of all time. Thanks Pat!

  • Pat Metheny Group, one of the hardest working, most active touring groups in jazz history, and most successful, deservedly so!

  • this was a classic when it came out. It's nice seeing it live now.

  • This is great! An underrated track.

  • The best track from American Garage!!!

  • Pat Metheny is a big fan of the Beatles, but when he became a musician he went to a totally different kind of music from pop music, I guess you can say that the Pat Metheny Group is the Beatles of jazz fusion, very innovative in the music they create and every piece of work that they come out with is just about superb.

  • PMG has been one of the best bands ever !!!!!!!!!!!

  • @seabobinsd Awesome. I've known metheny's music only some years now, and i play totally different style of music. Yet, Pat's music is unquestionably something that defined whole word music to me in new way and have had the most impact on me personally. It's just unbeliavable good, and all the players he uses are phenomenal.

  • this is new to me, its brilliant!!! this man makes the guitar talk and sing. it fascinates me. and yes i also have long hair
