With sites such as Justin.tv, Ustream.tv and Yahoo Live, anyone with a computer, high-speed Internet connection and webcam can instantly start streaming live online. Meet some Florida lifecasters, including a 18-year-old girl who broadcasts after school, a 61-year-old man who claims to be the world's oldest lifecaster, and a 40-year-old man who broadcasts live from his SUV as he escorts oversized loads across the country.

like you @webseth, i had been broadcasting like this for a few years before justin.tv or ustream arose. justin.tv, however, was much more reliable and that's why i jumped on the bandwagon. when i first started out, there weren't ads all over the website and rules were not existent. and, i was never sponsored. i became unnatural, so to speak, because i began to fear for my safety. it quickly turned into a hostile and threatened environment. soon after this article came out, i actually stopped.

this isnt breakthrough, i've been lifecasting since 1996 on my site when i was 16, now going on 29 and still going strong 24/7 and i handle my own infrastructure.. not depend on flakey sites like justin.tv with all their crappy ad's and strict rules an dmoderation -- how can it be "life casting" if youre filtering your behavior to keep sponsors happy? thats not natural.
