I'm sure there are some people like this, but most of us aren't like this at all ... obviously ;) We talk about family, kids, what movie we saw, books we're reading, blah blah blah. I know, shocker.

@UltraProle21 Even more sad bunch is Women's Studies. I think people can Minor in it or get a double major with something like a degree English. Then again, the curriculum and current practices taught in schools and colleges MUST be overhauled. I would get rid of some liberal arts majors, but there are some that I think can use the overhaul like English. Example: Proper methods of writing should be emphasized more than learning about Shakespeare.

English professors/grad students. Sad sad bunch. They can't get a job anywhere else. If you don't agree with them your grade will take a hit. It's a good thing in college I never went more than one semester in an English class!

@Spanglefeather ...well, number one their bitter, angry little women...number two their empty-headed liberals...and number three their fascist-feminists who viciously attack everyone who dosrn't participate in their libreral "group-think." In fact, I never experienced an English department that wasn't bursting at the seams with that dribble! No wonder that all their "highly recommended reading" is of a nature that's all to the left of Carl Marx.
