@SmashingJack420 that tarnish is called patina, it actually protect the steel, DO NOT clean it. leave it like that, if you touch it it would loose the patina AND THE VALUE.

@bob12884 he was probably just a normal soldier who knew how to use a gun......doubt he's an expert with all of those guns when all you need to learn is how to load a mag, pull a lever and squeeze your finger

my grandfather was an expert with bayonet m1911 m1a1 tompson BAR and m1 garand i thought htat was pretty epic

My grandpa has a bayonet he stole from a British guy back in the korean war, and its all tarnished and worn. Should I try to clean it up, or leave it the way it is?
and, what would be the best thing to use in removing tarnish from the blade?
