This is the old 1981 Yamaha SR185 Exciter Bike. It has an ~185CC Single Cylinder Engine and 4-4speed manual tranny. It was meant as a city bike and will cruise at about 55mph easily at 6500RPM, but it tops out at around 70-75 @ about 9800RPM (only tested this once seeing how much it was stressing the engine). The max RPM according to Yamaha is supposed to be about 10,500 but I sure wouldn't push it that far.

  • Yes very noisy, Open exhaust on bikes is legal in MO with certain limitations (pipe length, etc)LOL And yes I should use the indicators more on my street.
