@The12thAkatsuki before u say something u need to think. Quran is not a book of SCIENCE.its a book of SINGS.ALLAH IS SHOW YOU THE SINGS WHICH THAT HE IS ALONE AND THE CREATOR OF EVERY THING.....
-
@SerCrumb btw these facts that naik are mentioning are only an atoms weight compared to the rest
-
@SerCrumb Now you said that, ''most of the "facts" already written in the Qur'an had already been hypothised by the ancient greeks.'' Well you only mentioned three, the three that you mentioned were mentioned and explained in the quran in a totally different way, an ostrich egg was used as an example for the roundness of the earth, btw they didnt calculate the diameter of the earth to come to there conclusion. The greeks didnt mention the big bang or the expanding universe, or any other of the
-
@SerCrumb Even if that may be true, how could an illiterate man in the middle of the desert know all that, and convey it in the highest level of arabic literature that put the best arab poets of that time to shame?
-
@SerCrumb From my point of view the great difference between believing (accepting as true without questioning or attempting to prove the veridicity of a statement) and the scientific method lies in the fact that science as far as it can tries to put to test all of its alleged truths by experiment. Drake, like Magellan before him, didn't only accept the spherical shape of the earth, they circumnavigated it to prove it was so.

I'd like to point out that most of the "facts" already written in the Qur'an had already been hypothised by the ancient greeks. Ex. Taletes from Mileto in 580 b.C. (practically a 1000 years before Mohammed) believed that the moon light was a reflection of the sun's, or Aristarco from Samo who theorized an eliocentric system while at the same time other smart greeks actually calculated the diameter of the earth (thus acknowledging its roundness) and the distance between the earth and the moon.

If you want qur'anic quotes in which science have not discovered, this includes life forms "spread throughout" the heavens (not the alien like in hollywood thought, it just says life) man having a common ancestor, i think someone asked this in the question and answer session, why dont you check it out :)

"Some scientists even used qur'an for basis".
LOL
@The12thAkatsuki
Because, it was ALREADY figured out for them in the Qur'an, DUH
scientist back then rejected the Qur'an, so they tried to do their own research, and Guess what, it all to the fact everything they researched was mentioned to the Qur'an and they only good that came out of it was the non-Muslims, the non-believers now believe that it is true, that this happened, but Muslims already knew this. Some scientists even used qur'an for basis.

If Quran is all that great, why don't the Muslims figure out everything BEFORE the scientists announce them?
- Scientists first figure out the big bang theory - Quran had it all along
- Scientists first figure out that the Earth revolves around the sun - Quran had it all along
- Scientists figure out how the Earth was created - Quran had it all along
- Scientists figure out how life was created - Quran had it all along
- Scientists WILL prove life on other planets - Quran had it all along!
