Ruby the Best Pitbull Service Dog

Pitbulls always seem to get a bad rap, which Ruby doesn't deserve. She shines a great light on her breed! Just a clarification on RUBY THE SERVICE AND THERAPY DOG. She is BOTH. In November 2005 she received her TDI therapy dog certification. As the medical needs of her owner changed, Ruby went back to school and was trained thru www.puppyloveinc.org (service dogs). In February of 2009, she then received her credentials as a SERVICE DOG with proper id. Hope this clears up any confusion. Sadly, Ruby is now fighting Cancer. So to clarify, Ruby is DEFINITELY a SERVICE dog and does go into stores, ect.

Great video with a really positive message about this breed.

I particularly like the highlightin of the newspaper quote that said pit bulls used to be the # 1 family dog in the US. Through dogs like Ruby and responsible owners, I have no doubt we will get that back!

I've never seen smiles like the one my pit bull Mellow puts on people's faces and he's got the smile to flash back. I'm looking forward to training him to do some good for people and the breed as well.

I've got a red nosed pitbull named Ruby... great name! I never knew pitbull's could make such great companion dogs. If mine didn't have hip dysplasia, she would be perfect!

People don't seem to understand that no dog is born vicious. It's the owners; and it's unfortunate that most bad owners seem to own these amazing dogs. I have a pitbull who is honestly one of the sweetest dogs I've ever met; she's a huge baby who loves cuddling, playing, and thinks she's a lapdog. Pitbulls are extremely loving dogs, who deserve owners who treat them right! <3

Beautiful! She looks just like my grand daughter!...my daughters only child is a Pit Bull named Pot Belly...she is the sweetest most gentle loving creature...as are all dogs who are loved and treated with kindness...it's time to stop the canine racism and prejudice against these wonderful dogs. Keep spreading the LOVE!

@mightymouseaustralia She is not a staffodshire bull terrier best you go do your research she may be a American staffordshire terrior which isnt much more different then the american pit bull terrier in fact they were the same breed at once but a staffordshire bull terrier is not the same go do some research. A stafforshire bull terrier and a American staffodshire terrier are not the same you can thank akc for that confusion.

It's not much different than the issue of 'assault rifles'. The rifles they to which they give that name are NOT 'assault rifles' but they LOOK ominous. They're no different than a hunting rifle except for their LOOK and their new name. Change the name 'pitbull' to something more foo foo and put a bow on their head and this issue will disappear.

I'm so happy to see this! Bully breeds are banned in Ontario and killed on site it's horrible to do that to an animal!!!!
