@charmichealfan64 you must never ride in heavily wooded area's. i couldnt honestly tell you why this guy wants to make his bike look like an R.....i would have boughten an R if i wanted it to look like an R

@gmanpeterson381 ya i do i just never really found them to be that useful and i realy dont like how they look but thats just my opinio. plus you got rid of the light and put a number plate and you put other decals making it look like a race bike. why all that if its just a trail bike? just wondering im not wanting to start a fight or anything

@homebrewman23 I'm not to about to argue over the Internet, but your facts are backwards. the crf's have titanium intake an stainless exhaust. titanium doesn't dissipate heat better, that's why they are the intake and not exhaust. they stretch out with heat and use in the motor. Hence why they need to be shimmed and serviced more. But yes they are lighter allowing for faster higher rpm's, but this comes with much shorter service intervals. Take it or leave it but those are the facts.

@tattddeb X has a headlight, x has electric stat, x has shorter 1st gear and longer 5th, x has kick stand, x has a bit less horsepower but is more reliable, x has bigger gas tank, x weighs 235 lbs r weighs 217 lbs, the rest is the same, same frame, shocks, ect, the only place the r is better is on the track

@Jabowaky Ktm 125 would be much faster, the other ones are for little kids

@kyjelly5524 Tranny oil uses the same kind as the motor oil, just some 10w 30 or 10w 40. I highly recomend for the tranny side you use motorcycle oil thats clutch safe. The clutch will grab better if you do, use maxima and always use JASO spec oil in your bike, you might only be able to get it at a motorcycle shop. Stock up on oil filters too because you should chance your oil every ride

@bluejuice47 Why modify it like an R? It You mean take the battery and electric start out? Take the light off? Take the kick stand off? That little extra weight vs the convenience factor makes no sense to me. Ive raced an R with my X and we were neck and neck every time, I win on the road though beause of my longer 5th gear

@live4motox91 Some people think ss valves are better some people think ti valves are better. Titanium is stronger than steel per weight ratio and since its 1/2 the weight, you can use lighter valve springs which allow quicker reving and less shock to the valves. Ti disperses heat better than steel which is why the exhaust valves on crf are Ti and the intake ones are steel. Ive dropped a steel valve berore (not on my crf) so it realy depends on your needs and preference

@homebrewman23 I have an '07 crf250r and rode an entire season (riding nearly every weekend at the track) and haven't had anything break and the only maintenance I've had to do is tighten the chain. It's he titanium intake valves that go out so fast on the R. just get some SS kibblewhites and your good to go.

@TheNico9696 Who cares? Maybe he wants people to think its an R, maybe he doesnt like riding at night? Maybe it shaves off a few pounds,Personally im leaving my light on
......why do you have it on a stand when it obviously has a kick stand on it?
