This is a huge loss for the people of Longford, Ireland and the whole Catholic world as one of the most historic and symbolic buildings has been lost. Invaluable artifacts, vestments and chalices that date back to the 1600s, book shrines hand crafted by monks as well as the Bell of Fenagh Abbey and St. Mels Crozier which was 1,000 years old were all lost. - r
