Excerpt from Robert Burns' poem "Red,Red Rose" narrated by Brian Cox.

"The Rose" sung by Daisy Chute with Inverclyde Junior Choir.
Lyrics -
Some say love, it is a river
That drowns the tender reed
Some say love, it is a razor
That leaves your soul to bleed
Some say love, it is a hunger
An endless aching need
I say love, it is a flower
And you, its only seed

It's the heart, afraid of breaking
That never learns to dance
It's the dream, afraid of waking
That never takes the chance
It's the one who won't be taken
Who cannot seem to give
And the soul, afraid of dying
That never learns to live

When the night has been too lonely
And the road has been too long
And you think that love is only for the lucky and the strong
Just remember in the winter
Far beneath the bitter snow
Lies the seed
That with the sun's love, in the spring
Becomes the rose

  • This is so beautiful!

  • This is surperb

  • Robert Burns “A Red, Red Rose,” has nothing to do with this video! Please edit it out and let the song stay. Robert wrote “A Red, Red Rose” in “Scot Dialect” on purpose. He fought to continue the Scottish lowland’s people colloquial speech undamaged. It’s a travesty to merge this anglicised song with the “wordsmith’s verse. I pray to find Mr. Cox's entire rendition of “said” poem online. ~ Janet Thompson Deaver

  • just fantastic. phenomenal work from Daisy and the youth choir.

  • This choir is outstanding.

  • Beautiful.

  • Sheer magic !!

  • Her voice is just awesome ! So innocent and smooth..

So smooth that sometimes it reminds me of Karen Carpenter. She is the Karen Carpenter of soprano (OK, maybe not that much, but very close, really..).
