DJ Trip One has been around a while. Man, he might not be as old as some of these old school players, but he is definitely older school than most of these cats out here. Peep the wisdom, DJ Trip One would be riding the F train pumping these very beats to the dome, walkman cassingle stylee (Some of you know what I am talking about), dreaming of the day when he would be rocking the decks. Thankfully for you, that day is here. Here are some of the dopest beats from De La Soul, EPMD, Tribe Called Quest and Lords of the Underground just to name a few. No CDs, no serrato here, just fingers, needles and vynil like it oughta be.

Musiqal Soulchild - Buddy
De La Soul - Buddy
Tribe Called Quest - Oh My God
Tribe Called Quest - Check the Rhyme
Tribe Called Quest - Award Tour
Ed O.G. - I Gotta Have It
Lordz of the Underground - Funky Child
GraveDiggaz - Diary of a Madman

  • So just a few comments in response. The De La and Musiq mix was tight, right on both beat and BPM, the pitch was set where it was needed so I didnt need to adjust.

You're all right, I didn't blend between tracks, just trying to get as many joints in as possible. Want to see some blends, peep some of my more recent videos.

    Thanks for watching!

  • Whack!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • c'mon son lol i kno u tried but u kinda butchered those songs

  • Yo, you just jumped right into trying to beatmatch the two "Buddy" jointz, what you should do first, is match them both in the headphones.

  • I hate typos and can't seem to catch them fast enough: above, of course the word should have been written as 'best', not 'bet'. Sorry.

  • I'm feelin' what U dropped on the kid Trip One; all the neccessary ingredients of a good teacher.

  • U know shame could bring out the bet in a muthaf*cka, look what happen when GrandMaster Flash first tried to introduce the art of cuttin'/back spinn' records--they laughed at him. He even admit that he went home and cried. Now what he gave up? We wouldn't have DJing the way we know it...

  • Not in defense of DJ Trip One, but that statement can not stand alone, son. U gotta show what U mean by better. I'll luv to see and hear it. Do U.

  • It must be kept in mind that this art form is about growth & development, really. But DJs and music fans alike do have the right to voice their opinion of your mix, son. The record selection wuz pretty a'ight. Practice & Enjoy is the youtube DJ motto.
