This is from episode #291, air date August 7th, 1967, the one where Barnabas finds out Julia Hoffman knows he's a vampire. This fly won't leave his forehead alone, but he's a pro and ignores it, then tries to swat it, but then it comes back. That's 53rd street ABC studio for ya.
Jonathan Frid is the greatest vampire ever. Even better than Bela Lugosi.

This is an episode I missed but my brother-in-law told me about it. Nice to see it after so many decades!

I remember watching this and thinking wait is that really a fly on his forehead?! WTF! How did that get there? Good work Jonathan Frid for staying in character! I would have slapped it away at least once. xD

That fly kind of reminds me of the Countess Du Pre's beauty mark.

LOL! I always wondered why Barnabas didn't swat at the damn fly? Too undignified? Or can't vampires feel pesky critters on their skin...you know, being dead and all.

The Barbabas Collins action figure is so realistic it actually has the fly on his head
as seen in this episode!

@NightBear01 ,
I agree , I can't figure up a Dark Shadows without the Collinsport Fly, it deserved to be in the credits

The "Collinsport Fly" was a constant nuisance for the Dark Shadows cast - I would love to see Tim Burton figure out how to include it once in the planned movie!

"The room will have to be cleaned and scrubbed." Aha! That accounts for the flies. Somebody has been lax in their housecleaning duties. Willieee!!!
