SERIES 1 - EPISODE 8

(part 1 of 2)

Tucker and Benny are messing about, Doyle becomes involved and he accidentally ruins a piece of artwork that Miss Mather's class is producing for the School Festival. He is given 10 hours of detention and is banned from the Festival. He swears revenge. Trisha is given three hours of detention for wearing coloured socks. Miss Mather has mangaged to borrow two valuable pistols to help with Festival artwork. Doyle steals the pistols as a mark of revenge, but Tucker sees him leaving the artroom. Once the theft is discovered, it is threatened that the Festival will be cancelled. Ann suggests that an amnesty should be called - the pistols can be returned with no punishment for the thief, and the Festival could then go ahead. Tucker and co beat up Doyle. The pistols are returned. It is unclear whether this is down to the amnesty or the beating.

  • @girlygirlyblonde Perhaps he was. Doyle was my era of Grange Hill, so I didn't see nearly as much of Gripper.

  • @VinnyMonster1 no way, gripper was way worse.

  • I remeber Doyle as being jut as nasty as Gripper.

  • @crockyoshighty Sorry willowbreeze121 is my sister's account. Oops lol Anyways you're a nutjob! :P

  • @boffinme80 All right all right no need to start in on calling names! Its not my bloody fault my computer sort of makes Irish sound a bit Scottish and Scottish sound Irish now is it you tagnut? . LOL. :o)o:

  • @crockyoshighty She's Irish you plonker! :P

  • Isn't it weird how the Grange Hill characters kind of look like the ones from Harry Potter? If you look at it this way: Tucker-Cedric Diggory, Trisha-Hannah Abbot, Doyle-Draco Malfoy, Benny-Dean Thomas, Roland-Harry Potter, Andrew-Ernie Macmillan,Gonch-Ron Weasley, Claire Scott-Hermione Granger,Gripper-Marcus Flint. Don't know who Cathy, Justin, Alan, or Tommy would represent.

  • Grange Hill is / was so true to life in every way. The funny thing about it is, I'd have just put up with all these similarly psychotic teachers at school then quite happily come home sit down and watch it all again on telly! And further to that, I still . . . love watching it though it brings a myriad of unpleasant memoires. Truly I can put a name to each of these teachers to that of my own teachers. If that's not bonkers enough, I now teach at my old school. No, just mucking about. LOL. :o)o:

  • @jaimiecurrie She Scottish mate. :o)o:

  • That art teacher is stupid, leaving expensive antique pistols around like that.
