1970 Budweiser Commercial

This has to be one of the coolest Budweiser ads from the 70s. It aired in November 1970 and is quite possibly the first commercial to feature the famous "When You Say Bud" jingle. It features a colorful array of early 1970s fashions and familiar characters.

I can clearly remember this spectacular Budweiser commercial. It spawned many other incarnations of this song. It was the jingle of a generation.

This song is played at every Georgia Tech football and basketball game. A Tech tradition!

1970--love it, love the 82 second trip back to looking at the grown-up world through ads like this. Thoughts I had--I can't wait to buy and wear plaid sport jackets, drink Bud and enter the long awaited world of adulthood. This jingle was a touchstone and catchphrase of that great era.
