A Brief Introduction - Kaohsiung Chamber Choir

Founded in 2002, the Kaohsiung Chamber Choir soon becomes a formidable ensemble consisted of elite singers of southern Taiwan. Many of our members are music teachers and graduate students with voice/chorus conducting majors. Others include: physicians, professionals and students of other backgrounds. Under the direction of Music Directors Mr. Chin-Gin, Su、Dr. Chia-Fen, Weng and Dr. Yu-Wen, Pan, the KCC has actively engaged in local and regional music functions and campus concerts, while sponsoring two major theme concerts annually, performing domestic composers work, folk music—both native and foreign--and Canto-pop, other than core classics. We try to offer richness, variety and sophistication of the art with our repertoire. It is our vision that we may lead a new trend of pursuing the elegance of chorus music in this harbor city. And it is our ambition that we may help to enhance the general appreciation of the art form in Kaohsiung.

Kaohsiung Chamber Choir reorganized on April 4th, 2007 in order to achieve a further level.
In the meanwhile, Yin-Chaou, Fan was elected as the 2nd general director and Dr. Chia-Fen, Weng
was elected as the 1st Supervisor of Music.

A long-term project for enhance peformance quality and administration efficiency was figured out.
Dr. Michael Scheibe - a choral master was invited as guest conductor in 2007 and Yo-Jen, Lee - a
professional art manager as the administrator since 2008.
