I understand what you're trying to say. I think that they were probably just having fun though. I'm not trying to argue or anything with that message (I'm not saying you are trying to, just letting you know so you don't think I'm just another person sending hate mail.) But like I said before, I respect your opinion.

I've gotten a lot of hate messages etc. about this but the only thing I was saying is that if you're going to cover a song, pick something that you find awesome or inspiring and really do it well. Here it seems like they've just decided to cover hips don't lie just to mock it, that seems like an incredible waste of time and energy, not to mention extremely disrespectful to original. I don't have any actual problem with the fray but if this is what they consider "cool" or funny, count me out.

So 2001? Umm...yeah I have to admit, that made me laugh a little bit. But seriously though, it's nice when people write about real things, instead of stuff they know nothing about. Their lyrics are not "slit your wrist" type. They have a lot of "happy" songs (HAPPINESS, She Is, Syndicate, e.t.c). Oh well, I respect your opinion but I suppose we have to agree to disagree on this subject.

I was at this show!!! It was so great.
I love their sense of humor and willingness to be ridiculous. :) It's not meant to be a serious cover - but I personally like it way better than the original.
