this is the best game i have ever played. everything about it was worth the 160 hours i put into it. and i still haven't beaten it yet. every aspect was incredible. i would stare at the scenery for minutes, marvelling at their beauty.

Dragon Quest 8 is easily my favorite game of all time, although Chrono Trigger is up there too :)

I wish I could get into these RPGs. I did a lot in the SNES and Genesis era, and PSX and PS2. But I'm almost 30, and I can't be sitting around with a DS and PSP... it seems all the games just come out on handhelds these days. It makes me sad. I can justify spending time on my consoles on my big screen tv. But sitting in the corner of my house with a handheld? It's not fair to old school RPG fans who have grown past their gameboys. Where are the console JRPGs? Why must they be stuck on DS/PSP?
