Nice to see that our mayor is being concise on the concept of the issue facing the city. But regarding the compost hype I am getting quite sick of smelling the disgusting odor coming from the composting bin. It is much worse what the flesh emits when decaying. If I am allergic to perfume, then I am hyper sensitive to any type of odor, including mold. Please read this before I get any sicker.

Mayor Gavin Newsom takes a bold step by providing his "State of the City" speech on YouTube. This allows the public to reference the material at any time and to provide feedback about various issues. It is a more interactive approach to politics and I appreciate it! Frankly, I am disappointed that this series doesn't have more views and that there aren't more viewer comments! I thought San Francisco and it's neighboring cities were more involved and technology based than my observation suggests!

What about people with disabilities? Seniors (18:47 into the speech) are not the only ones who utilize IHSS services, nor are they the only ones at risk for institutionalization! Does he mention disability anywhere in this speech?

Newsom is full of it... the cuts to the Department of Public Health will devestate the communities that he claims he cares about, and will completely destroy Health San Francisco... ask any public health nurse. Healthy San Francisco operates at clinics... this is exactly who Newsom's cuts will hit.

When Department Heads submitted budget cuts that cut "fat" and not staff or service quality, the Mayor's office sent them back saying "I want to see positions on here"...

What about the budget, Gavin?

How about addressing the impacts of deep cuts in community-based health programs on our fledgling Healthy SF?
