This is the correct way around to fit a sash jammer. If you are highly security conscious then you would obviously fit a lock at the bottom of the frame piece. This would prevent the sash jammer arm being "rattled down". If the sash jammer was fitted the other way around and became loose there is a risk that if you slammed your door the sash jammer arm could fall down into the locked position and lock the homeowner out.
