Ilikai Hotel - Hawaii - Hawaii Five-O

Watch the television series "Hawaii Five-O." Whether it's the new show or the old one - the introduction shows a camera shot "super-zooming" on Steve McGarrett standing on a deck at the llikai Hotel. The old series aired from September 1968 to April 1980. (one of the longest continuous-running police series in U.S. television history) It was filmed entirely on location here in Hawaii. I love watching the show today for it's authenticity. I like looking at the way things were in Honolulu during the 70's.

In the new Five-0 Series by CBS actor Alex O'loughlin stands in the same place that Jack Lord did. The Illkai Hotel was used in many other episodes and it's a great place to watch the fireworks every Friday night. Created on March 27, 2009 by David Bylsma
