From the Arc Angels on, I love Charlies Sexton. His guitar playing and stage presence are very strong. When he examines religion and faith within his life Charlie becomes more than just a performer but a genuine artist. I hope he continues to explore this subject for many years to come.
we were singing those hymns over & over again Sunday morning, Sunday evening Wednesday nights I never understood it all that well back then But it probably saved my life
I had the extreme good fortune to stumble across "Under the Wishing Tree" about a dozen years ago in the cut-out rack of DiscoRama, Union Sq. in NYC. It has become one of my favorite albums EVER!!! I was also fortunate enough to finally see him perform twice here in NYC a couple of years ago and tell him so! He asked how I'd come across the CD - his humorous response to my story was "It would have to have been!" He was warm, friendly and receptive - a wonderful writer, player & human being!
