Like other "Lost Boys of Sudan," Abraham Deng Ater says education became his parent and guardian after his mother and father sent him away near the start of a 22-year civil war in Sudan. Today, the UA master's student is raising money to help build schools in his native country to help prevent the youth of today and tomorrow from having to share his experience.

  • Now the south Sudan is governed by southern sudanese, why don't you go back to south sudan now? You can't go because there is no security and no food under your own south sudanese government.
