Is a net book like a laptop? or it is a laptop but smaller?

My guess would be that your high school does have one because most do these days. However, if its like my high school was, only teachers were given the password, students werent allowed to use the network. Ask your teacher or your IT person

I dont want to buy one and then find out that I cant use internet in school.

true, you can buy the USB stick and a data plan, by next two years we meant it will be mainstream to be built in to the computer and come bundled with a data plan. sorry for the confusion

next two years. wrong they now have an internet usb stick that recieve cell phone internet available at rogers. i have one and its really effective. you can use your laptop in a car(while moving) unlike wifi.

do you mean does it get internet everywhere? because you cant get wifi anywhere but wifi hotspots.
The answer is yes, it can get wifi, but no, it does not link to a cellular data network like the iphone - but you can expect that to be a reality within the next two years
