This is absolutely beautiful; thanks a million. He's my favorite baseball player of all-time. In this piece, his maturation and then aging process is observable. In 07 and 08 with the Padres, though he remained effective, he really was a shell of what he had been in his prime.

Best Baseball PLAYER of this era and the craftiest. He used the one attribute that will not suffer a slump, his brain.
Glad that he was associated and reconciled with the Cubs.

Greg Maddux was the smartest baseball player I ever saw. When he was pitching, I wouldn't watch the ball after he threw it, I would watch him to see what he did reacting to the play. He never made a wrong move.

Not many cheap wins for that man - all earned, and deserved so many more.

its weird to watch someone age by 20 years because they gave their life to the game. to commit to baseball is almost like handing your prime years away for money. get in and youre 20 and young. you come out 40 and tired. but thats whats so great about baseball.

Greg Maddux really turned out to become one of baseball's most unique pitchers of all time. Great job on the video tribute!

a good tribute to a legend

Well if the Yankees win the World Series this year it is safe to say they bought it. Having spent almost twice as much as the next team is fair enough to say that. Oh and nice Koufax tribute.
-
When you spend the most money to win a championship then yes you are buying a World Series. You are a typically Yankee fan. I've heard many of them. When you don't win you blame it on the manager.

The Yankees bought those championships.

when the BRAVES had glavin, smoltz and maddux it was a garuntee 3 wins for the braves. thats how good they were in the early and mid 90.s. even the yankees had trouble with that treo.
Wow. Exceptionally well done and emotional. Best home-made movie I've seen in a long time. You put a lot of effort into this, and I don't know how long it took you to put this together, but the statistics and footage you've assembled is especially impressive.

Hi. Thanks for watching the video. I've been keeping track of each of his starts for the past 3-4 years, so I don't remember how long it took me to compile all the stats, but it definitely took an hour and a half to type them in. It took another 6-7 hours to find all the pictures, and 4-5 hours to put the video together.

Right on...and your others are great too, but it won't really be complete until you do "The Wins of Mickey Lolich"

Heh. If Lolich comes back and wins the 83 he needs to get to 300, I'll definitely do it. Tabulating the wins is the easy part for these videos. The hard part is finding pictures from all over the player's career.
