  • I agree with the torch test yes not lit, if there's a intake or hose leak the idle will change due to getting the propane sucked in then you know exactly where to start before buying part after part. It could be your IAC, TPS, MAF sensor the way to test this theory is unplug the MAF if it changes not that, same for TPS it should make it rev way up when unplugged if not that's prob your issue. Good Luck

  • this is caused by the fast idle valve. replace it and you'll be done

  • thightend up ur diaphram or check for any leaks in the intake manifold ., or behind the intake manifold there should be a flat screw thighted or loosen it up

  • thats a common Lambda probe or lambda sensor failure... good luck

  • clean or replace idle control valve. that should fix your problem.

  • could be your ECT giving a low tempurature reading making your idle like that.

  • My 96 2.2 not vtec is doing the same thing? Did you get it figured out? If so what was it..?

  • Your idle air control is stuck or when you painted all that red you took off the intake gaskets and now you have an air leak in the intake manifold. Best way to troubleshoot this is propane torch unlite around the intake tell the idle stablizes or else clean your your idle air control to be sure its working.

  • Hey body how did u fix this problem I have the same thing and don't know wt to change. Help?
