Here it is, the first in our series of official videos from Auto Assembly 2010! Saturday night played host to a karaoke session giving all our attendees the chance to show off their... errr... talents! However, we managed to persuade some of our guests to join in and comic artist Simon Williams and Scott McNeil both have a musical background (Scott has a band) and they took to the mic for a few songs. Here is the result...

One final thing... because of abusive posts in the past, we have had to set all of our videos to require pre-approval for comments so if yours doesn't appear straight away, don't worry - it's just that we need to check them first so please don't re-submit them!

  • Yo Dave why wasnt I in this man I sung Japanese lol well my big bro simon did a good job go simon

  • @evans56942 We only had a limited amount of the karaoke filmed ourselves and sadly yours and Jim's performance wasn't caught by our camera guy :(

At that point, he'd already filmed about 100 minutes of footage just from the Saturday evening and if I remember right he had to leave the hall at one point to either empty his camera's memory card or change batteries! lol

We do have a LOT more footage to come though, and I'm also going through the AA2000-2009 archive too...!

  • Sadly, one of the phones (the HD one) was accidentally set into night vision mode so the footage wasn't as smooth as we would have hoped for (it's the same one we used for the Fire Alarm footage!) The position we were in meant that occasionally our view was obscured so our best option to present the footage was to combine both as best as we could.

  • The sound and picture quality varies from song to song as I had to do a lot of post-production work on this one. The original footage had some distorted audio for the first two songs so I had to clean this up as best as I could.

Our official camera team wasn't in the hall for the third song so it was recorded by some of our other committee members using two phones with video capabilites (one standard and one HD) and then edited and synched together...
