Weapons Kata is interesting. The point sparring for me is the best part. Especially the speed. I do not get the gymnastics part though how is that related?

Portraying the gymnastics (tons of flips for no martial purpose) and baton twirling (spinning and throwing weapons in the air) as the high level martial arts is why so much attention has moved from traditional arts to mma.
