Secrets [Ep. ONE] [Jemi/Nelena]

(CHARACTER BACKGROUND:
Kevin- 22 -- Married, and taking his time from going back into music. All he wants now is time to spend with Danielle.
Joe -- 21 -- Living the fast life, he wants to be an adult and live a free life. Away from all the stress and havoc.
Nick -- 18 -- Going on with his solo career, how it began. But he still looks forward to being one-third of the Jonas Brothers.
Demi -- 18 -- Independent, she used to be famous when Barney was around, but now all she wants is to be stable in life.
Selena -- 18 -- Going on with her life, she never stopped pushing on for her dream, and her big break is coming soon.
[All of these characters have the deepest and darkest of secrets. But no one has dared yet to try and tell someone. For all they know, it could ruin everything they ever wished for.])

[Episode ONE]

The world can be a difficult place at times.

At times? Ha, who am I kidding?

The world plays tricks on us. Right when we enter this world, it puts us through pain. It challenges us to survive day by day. The only way we can survive is with others. And by others I mean friends, friends who we create bonds with. People we can trust.
And then we need love, just one single person we can care for. Who will look after us, and never, keep secrets from us.

[Demi's POV]
I've started my life out here in Dallas, where I grew up, learned all I needed to know and survived through the toughest of years, so far. There's no telling where I'll end up later in life. But what I know now is that we're moving to Los Angeles. A place that's known to host the worst people in the world, ceebrities. They are sick, dumb, and stuck-up. Then again, that's only from hearing different opinions from online tabloids. No one will ever know what they truly are. I bet that deep down inside of them, the real person is itching to break free.

(Days later, Demi and her family move up to L.A.. Surprisingly in the good part, Hollywood. The reason for the move was because her mom had better opportunities there. Being that they were on the edge of slipping into the slums. It was luck, but more like fate.)

[Joe's POV]
I pull up onto my house's drive-way. Seeing my younger brother, Nick's, car and Kevin's beside it. Today we were going to meet to discuss what our family was now going to pursue. We were all getting the hang of growing up and becoming mature men. Or at least that's what everyone besides ourselves think. I walk up the pathway, but before I enter the door I see a moving van down the road. Weird I thought. That's where Miley used to live, Nick's ex-girlfriend, or so he says.
I finally enter the house and figured that my family would be sitting in the family room. Although throughout the years it has changed into the "meeting room". I slowly walk over and hear the voices become more clear as my guess was right, they were in there. I take my place as the meeting begins.

PJ: Joseph you're lucky.
J: Sorry dad. You know L.A. traffic. It's hectic and horrible.
PJ: You know that you should leave wherever you may be early, so that you can make it to places- he emphasizes the next few words. --on time.
J: (looks down) It won't happen again sir.
PJ: It better not. We've got to get you guys situated. You're all growing up and we need to make sure you have a future ahead of you.
N: Dad, I'm sure you don't need to worry about us. We already have the ropes down. We've been in this business, for what now? (he looks to Kevin as Kevin shrugs) Almost ten years am I correct.
PJ: It may be so. But ten years of knowledge won't last you that long.

[Demi's POV]
I finally settled into my room. My room, with a balcony and a view of the Hollywood sign from afar. As we were driving in I had no good view of our new neighbors. All I saw were shiny cars and green grass. I was happy to know that my old friend Selena lived here. After our gig with Barney. We went our separate ways for a while and fate brought us together again. As if it were the olden days. To be even more freaky, she lived across the street from us. I thought it was perfect. (She hears the doorbell ring.)
