Black bears aren't so bad. They usually run away. String all food up in a tree or lock in car. No food stuffs left laying around camp area. Eat/prepare food away from tents. Wash all untensils/self immediately and you should be fine. If there are Grizzlys... you should have a sawed off attack shotgun handy. (Used to live in Alaska)...I don't camp, due to fear of bears. Can you tell?

I'd like to say this before you go on your trip and maybe never see us again Paula, but I love the sound of your voice. Probably the one reason I still watch Home Movies to this day.
