Ivan Van Sertima, is a scholar of African Studies at Rutgers University. He maintains that Africans were responsible for advances in metallurgy, astronomy, agriculture, medicine and other fields. He also believes that black Africans came to North America before Christopher Columbus. (Original broadcast 1997)

  • @irongiant20012001 assirians got there ases kicked it was the persians who won..

  • @barlog20 that leaves us between a rock and a hard place.then again royalties copyrights and franchise can be toppled. many white engineers and inventors are pissed that they got hoodwinked by the rich and now wants revenge on their very own the last straw was the computer programmers who have lost big time compared to the nineties.

  • The Olmecs are certainly the oldest society in Mexico, the Mexican government tried to destroy their ruins before this fact could become well known.

  • @DaddyKyan That`s right...lol Their birth rates are so low that in 200 years they will be almost extinct. But they`d rather lie about something like other people`s history. How intelligent...lol

  • The interviewer devotes a surprising amount of time to talking about African History facts that he can't swallow - Cleopatra and Napoleon, etc. - He tries to get Dr. Van Sertima to affirm his marginalization but he keeps to his guns and says what he knows.

  • @Kherudjhuti Yeah that was interesting. I think that Dr. Clarke's description is accurate, it's just that in Dr. Van Sertima's opinion, that fact means little to nothing compared to what Taharqa or Menes did (which I also agree with). Let's face it, Egypt ended after the Assyrians finally entered, culturally that is.

  • The problem with the black scientist in NASA and America in general is that they are advancing technology that`s only gonna advance this White supremest system. And this white supremest system is gonna use that advance technology against Africa and other countries.

  • This man is great... People don't understand how I can have afrocentric views and Caucasian and European best friends. It's simple; open you're mind

  • thank you for everything. u put my feet on the path of knowledge. RIP my friend.
