my mom and i were watching this and the "concern" you have, mom says it's normal. when you sharpen a knife you are taking a whole side off. so the shavings on the shark is normal. that's just what my mom said

Sorry Jack. I have my knives picked up by the local knife company rep and they hone 'em for free. If need be, they'll regrind the bevel, then re-edge and hone 'em.

BTW, I have my initials stamped on all the blades near the hilt, so I can say there's never been any "knife swaping" going on by the company. ;-)

The Shark looks like something I'd get for all my el cheepo knives I have around, so I'll pick one up for them. :-)

i have used pocket knives with this with good results. i used to do it wrong and thought it didn't work but this video helped. thanks

hey jack remember when you said to rince the knife? when you use the the blade for the scissor and the last knife wont the the metal shaving get on food when you use it over the cutting borde

you know, in the commercial, see when the person is cutting a sponge you can see that person used the BACKside of the knife for the first attempt then turned the knife around while the hand was out of the screen and then cut the sponge
