Who can stop the centifugal force of Iran.

*President George Bush and British Prime Minister Gordon Brown used a joint news conference to show solidarity for Iran, Iraq and Afghanistan matter. In the conference, Brown has announced that Britain will tighten sanctions against Iran and to send more troops to Afghanistan. Britian will also freeze assets of Iran's largest bank in a further move to discourage the country from developing nuclear weapons. Brown speaks that assets of Irans's Bank Melli, accused of providing srevices to Irans's nuclear and ballistic missile programs, would be frozen and will work to persuade other European nations to follow the suit. The U.N. Security council has applied three sets of limited sanctions against Iran for refusing to terminate uranium enrichment, a technology that can both produce nuclear fuel and turn out the material needed for nuclear warheads. Currently, Iran has approximately three thousand centrifuges, which is used to produce small test batches of uranium that has been enriched to a low level that cannot be used for nuclear weapons. Iran have not successfully operated a centrifuge cascade, a collection of centrifuges that is needed to enrich nuclear fuel to a level enough to establish an effective nuclear energy program, but has declared its ambition to build more than 50,000 centrifuges.

Having caused problems with the Russian oil and pipeline industry aswell as having sent shipments with weapons to Chechnya etc. And Dmitrij Medvedev has so many times declared Iranian actions as unlawful or condemning them. I mean Dmitrij Medvedev was even the head of Russias Gazprom oil company. And the current president of the company is put there by Putin himself. Russia will not back up Iran.

And I have to remind you that today we have a very tiny, insignificant weapon called NUCLEAR MISSILE, and WW3 would mean the destruction of the world, or at least most of it. Why? @danny32602: A World government will NEVER WORK. Rome was one of the greatest empires in history (to continue your example), but it had to face revolutions almost every decade. The Illyric and the Jewish one (stopped by emperor Vespasian), or the revolution of the slaves led by Spartacus in 73 B.C were only the most popular, but Rome had to face much more domestic threats, and it finally collapsed as an empire.
